Common Land Gallery

Common Land Gallery celebrates the work of artists who travel the globe capturing the world around them simply as they saw it. No grand manifestos, no AI generated scenarios, no over photoshopped unrealistic renderings, just the view from their camera. Our lives are surrounded by falsehoods and unreliable imagery it is good to know what you purchase from here came from a real place that one day you could go and visit yourself. Hopefully this gallery will inspire you to not only want to own a piece of beautiful art work but to go out and find your own adventure. And for those who might not be able to travel we hope we can bring a piece of this amazing world to you.

Common Land Gallery’s mission is to make this world of ours just a little bit smaller by bringing together what we all have in common.

Home Among the Snow and Trees

I thought hiking in Finland, just south of the Artic Circle, in winter would push my ability to deal with cold. Well it did, but we were properly dressed and if you kept moving you really didn’t notice the well below freezing temperatures. Pristine snow and dealing silence makes on feel like curling up into a ball and snuggling into one of these snow dunes. I wouldn’t recommend that but the urge to do so was hard to ignore.

Cà Phê Thanh

Up in the mountains east of Ho Chi Minh City lies the honeymoon destination of Da Lat. Being up in the mountains, where the French influence is still very prominent, boast a welcome relief from the heat in the lower lands. Strawberry Fields and Coffee Groves dot the hillsides as you take winding roads up from the airport. Cà Phê Thanh’s facade reminded me of a Wes Anderson film location. Surrounded by pastel colors and a quirky sidewalk I could just see an awkward conversation happening here about the correct temperature of water for a perfect cup of my favorite beverage.

I had so many Cà Phê Sua I’m surprise I was able to hold my camera still - Da Lat Vietnam April 2023
